A New Home For YPS

What? We are thrilled to announce that following an official exchange of contracts on Monday 15th July, we are now the proud owners of a new state-of-the-art head office and national distribution centre! Why? In the last eight years our business has tripled in size, which has lead us to outgrow our current premises. Earlier this year we erected a temporary building for additional storage but with growth expected to continue following a record breaking end to our financial year in June, it’s become clear that a longer-term solution was required. As such, our new home is 30,000 square foot, representing a 50% increase in size compared to our current site, giving us a much greater capacity to supply our customers. The plans also include a significantly larger showroom than our current facility, offering more scope for demonstrations and trials to be carried out on a wider range of equipment. Where? There are no surprises for guessing that our new premises will be located in Yorkshire (it’s all in the name), however we will be departing from Dewsbury and saying hello to Brighouse! The new YPS HQ will in fact be conveniently and centrally located less than one mile from junction 25 of the M62 motorway. This superb position on the M62 corridor means that we will still be perfectly placed to service our customers across the UK with the fast turnaround of spares and film orders, as well as engineering assistance, that we are known for. When & How? The relocation will take some time to plan and implement, with our expected move-in date still 18 months away, towards the end of 2020. During this time we are concentrating on doing everything possible to prepare for the smoothest transfer with minimal disruption to our customers. For example, we intend to conduct the switching of telephone lines over a weekend to prevent any break in our service. Throughout the entire process we will keep all of our customers informed of important dates and details, including (perhaps most importantly) the details of their invitation to our grand unveiling! We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of our loyal customers for supporting YPS in our journey towards this exciting new chapter. Having celebrated our 40th anniversary just three years ago, we are now looking forward to marking our half decade in business in our brand new home. Watch this space for updates!
