Gear pump refurbishment

Recent refurbishment of a gear pump for a UK based polymer manufacturer. The customer would traditionally have hot stripped this when still covered with polymer. The polymer would be molten on strip down which makes this a hot, difficult and messy process to complete. PPSL removed the bulk polymer through our solvent cleaning process with the gear pump still intact, allowing the customer to cold strip the unit, and only need to clean a residual film from the internals which has resulted in savings of time, labour, environmental and disposal costs.
