Orchard Environmental have recently completed the installation of a chemical process line comprising chemical treatment and rinsing tanks with fume hoods for an avionics company in Hampshire. The process line incorporates seven tanks including etching, acid treatment, a proprietary chemical treatment, counter-flow rinsing and deionised water. Our supply included the process design, manufacture of the tanks, all pipework and valves and temperature/level controls. The system was fully automated and included a PLC control system. The design of the tank system includes splash-backs and benches to provide a work area local to the tanks. There is a fume extraction and treatment system fitted to remove harmful fumes from the working area.
