BAKERY CONVEYOR SYSTEMS

09-06-2016

Large bakeries would not be able to survive without employing the use of conveyor systems. These are used to move bakery ingredients, products, partially baked goods and the finished items throughout the processing, baking and packaging of the products. Also many of these processes are automated. BELT CONVEYOR SYSTEMS Conveyor systems in bakeries are generally belt conveyors rather than roller conveyor systems. Belts materials can be supplied in rubber, plastic, PVC/PU and occasionally fabric. Different types of belts may be required for different parts of the processing of the product. FOOD HYGIENE IN BAKERIES Food hygiene within a bakery is extremely important and sanitary conditions are mandatory. Conveyor systems used within the food and bakery industry must comply with HACCP principles and standards. HACCP (or Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) is a systematic preventive approach to food safety from biological, chemical, and physical hazards in production processes that can cause the finished product to be unsafe, and designs measurements to reduce these risks to a safe level.
