Mail Room Case Study

We have been very lucky to work with some great clients in the past, including many household names. One company we worked with to create a mailroom solution was a well known catalogue company who had logistical problems within their mailroom; mainly with posting out mailshots to clients. Our specialist team attended the site to examine the issues involved, and make recommendations and solutions. The main issues that arose from the inspection were: 1. Mail which was being transported along their current system could not be indexed. 2. Mail was being moved in totes, however there was no way of returning these to the beginning of the system. 3. They also needed to buffer store stacks of boxes. We carried out a detailed site evaluation and after discussions with the client, we proposed and installed a lineshaft 24 v DC and PVC belt conveyor infeed line, which delivered the totes to the mezzanine, and which allowed a buffering and indexation system. Alongside this we also installed a top tier lineshaft conveyor.
