BGB has recently embarked on what we hope will be a long-term partnership with West Grantham Academy, providing onsite placements for six engineering students.

The students have been assigned a school project designed to teach them manual processes and skills commonly used in an engineering environment. BGB is supporting their development by providing hands-on training to help them complete the project and gain valuable experience.

So far, the students have enjoyed working with our Toolroom Engineer, Tyler Kenny, who has been guiding them through the fundamentals of manual turning and milling.

These budding engineers are gaining essential skills and a practical understanding of engineering tasks, preparing them for potential careers in the field. The students have expressed their enthusiasm for the experience, and we are optimistic that this partnership will pave the way for future apprenticeships and eventual employment opportunities with BGB.
