Food product assembly is the first major in-line
process in the production of most prepared
convenience foods. From quiche to lasagne to pizzas
and cakes all have one thing in common, they are
made up of a number of component parts that are
brought together to create the final dish. To assist in
this process WMH have over the past twenty years
worked with many producers of different products to
make this part of the process as efficient as possible
whilst providing an ergonomic working environment
for the operators.
The latest range of make-up conveyors primarily
designed for ready meals offer flexibility and
simplicity along with Western Mechanical Handling’s
usual hygiene features and high standards of construction.
Integration with ancillary equipment such as depositors and weighers is achieved via built in
WMH’s design approach means that all conveyors are optimised to provide a bespoke unit
optimised for your highest throughput ranges but ensuring all product ranges are handled
efficiently. Typical production rates of 40 products per minute can be achieved on a single
lane unit with up to 80 per minute being achievable on twin lane units.
Where a twin lane unit is required WMH has developed an inline laning unit which can
marshall and lane two flows of product into a single lane for further processing and sealing.
