UNIVERSITY OF LEICESTER – SPACE RESEARCH CENTRE

TPInauguration Chiller on Structure 2C are pleased to be associated with University of Leicester – Space Research Centre in the development and supply of package air cooled water chillers for the new generation ground based Gamma Ray Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) which detects very high-energy gamma rays. The Leicester team has been responsible for the mechanical, thermal, fluidic, environmental, optical and various electronic elements of the camera, with valuable contributions from the Physics departments of Oxford, Liverpool and Durham Universities, as well as several other consortium members from around the world. The telescopes will be located in Namibia on the west coast of Africa.
