Introduction to Heavy Duty Face Seals

Heavy Duty Face Seals, also called ©Duo-Cone, Cat, or Toric Seals, are consisting of two elements that are identical. The two elements are ones of a cast iron Seal Ring (which is the primary seal) and an elastomeric or rubber O-ring, called a toric, (which acts as an energizer as well as a secondary static seal). These kinds of seals are designed to be installed in housings that have been specially machined and are then are usually bathed in oil.
