RN Electronics Introduces Standby/Off-mode power Testing

10-12-2010

RN Electronics, today, announced that it has added Standby/Off-mode power tests to its list of EMC, Safety & Radio test services.

Managing director, Roger Ray, said “There is a big focus on Energy right now and there is need for commercial products to be more energy efficient. The new Standby/Off-mode power test capability represents a significant technical upgrade towards meeting our customer demands for a cost effective and easy solution to proving energy efficiency.”

“New regulations are being implemented all the time. Now all power supplies need to be tested for their power consumption in zero load conditions. Measuring standby and off mode currents with low power factors is a challenge. We can help you overcome that and ensure that your product meets the standby/off-mode power limits set by the ErP Directive. With our new expertise we can help you meet the energy usage requirements for Europe, Canada and California.” stated Technical Director, Paul Darragh.
