Premier Storage creates bespoke space for Age UK Doncaster

21-06-2016

When Age UK Doncaster needed more space recently, the management team thought about an extension to its premises on Thorne Road, but Mark Jepson, managing director of Doncaster’s Premier Storage and Office Solutions, helped them find a better way forward with a move to Ten Pound Walk, Lakeside. Mark set his new project manager, Tara Gough, the task of coming up with a design for the 390 square mtr, 2 storey building that gave Age UK a fantastic bespoke space for its 36 staff and visitors. There are 7 rooms in total, including offices, meeting rooms, a quiet room, a training room and a call centre housing around 14 people. The building has, of course, been made fully disabled friendly, using Komfort office partitioning, removing walls and creating wide doorways and specialist disabled access. Tara and the team also created a bespoke sliding hatch during the build and carried out all the necessary decorating and refurbishing. AGE UK Doncaster’s finance director, Ian Piper, said “Our requirements were fairly exacting and Mark met them excellently – and with some flair – giving us ideas that we might not have thought of to get exactly the space that we wanted. His team were fantastic and always there when we needed them. We were fairly tight on time too and needed to move in quickly. Mark and his large team met our needs there too and were finished with the build within 6 weeks, which, bearing in mind the amount of work we needed doing was some going!”
