MANUFACTURING AND EXPORTS FEATURE PROMINENTLY IN THE BUDGET

Commenting on measures announced to support businesses in today's Budget, David Nicklin, managing director of Nicklin Transit Packaging says: "It was encouraging to hear manufacturing and exports referenced so prominently in the chancellor's speech. Accessing affordable export finance can be a major stumbling block for ambitious, growing businesses so today's extra funding and support will be roundly welcomed. The extension and indeed doubling of the annual investment allowance should also give businesses greater confidence in committing funds to the investment that will be vital to sustaining the fledgling economic recovery."
