We were established in 1926 on our current site by Mr. James M. Brown in order to manufacture zinc oxide. At that time the predominant use of this material was in paints, rather than in rubber as it is today.

In October 2007, James M. Brown acquired Multicel Pigmentos a company situated in Sao Paulo Brazil, we then became the world biggest producer of cadmium pigments. With manufacturing sites in England as well as Brazil.
