HMT invests in state-of-the-art Charmiles wire erosion machine.

HMT has invested in a charmiles Robofil 190. This new addition to our machining process allow us to improve on our already quick lead times, and still work within our tight machining tolerances. Wire erosion is a machining process that cuts profiles or holes with a small wire 0.1 to 0.5 mm diameter to a depth of up to 250mm. Surface finish and accuracy are of the highest standard 0.005mm and 0.3ra respectively. Machining can be un-manned allowing 24 hour processing. The Swiss made Charmilles compliments HMT's other Charmille EDM machines giving us the full eroison package backed up the with quality and reliability that comes with Charmilles and our specialy trained staff.
