Turnkey Solutions: Wienerberger Todhills

Gordian Strapping, one of the UK’s leading end-of-line specialists in pack and pallet securement, has supplied a new vertical strapping system to Wienerberger at their Todhills Plant in Bishop Auckland, Co. Durham. Wienerberger is the world’s largest producer of bricks, and No. 1 on the clay roof tiles market in Europe, with 229 plants in 27 countries. Wienerberger Todhills required a new strapping machine to replace ageing equipment on their void pack production line, thereby ensuring that well-presented and secure packs could be produced at a rate of 60 units per hour.
