Repairs Process

Our Repairs service is proving to be very popular within the wind industry. We have kept our processes very simple and easy for our client base, using theories such as The Inertia Principle whilst always trying to incorporate Circular Economy practices wherever possible. To keep it simple for our customers we use a 6-step process: 1. Customer sends photos of the repairs 2. Customer completes the repair form 3. Ship to BGB 4. BGB assesses & grades the repairs* 5. BGB Repair within 30 days 6. Ship back to customer *To ensure our clients receive great value, we typically operate on a 3 tier grading system: Grade 1 consists of a full strip-down of a product, deep clean, ring maintenance, wiring inspection, reassemble, balance and test. Grade 2 is the same as Grade 1 but with the inclusion of minor component parts being replaced. Grade 3 is the same as Grades 1 and 2 but with the replacement of critical component parts being replaced and potential ring replating. We endeavour to understand our customers in order to best meet their requirements. By understanding the impact of downtime on their business and also the operating environment we can offer a premium service and fast turnaround. Our inspection reports can inform possible causes of failure that may improve the service life of the repaired component.
