Pinch Valve High Pressure Applications & Control

Pinch Valve High Pressure
Control pinch valves are designed for offering precise control over the flowing media, maximum durability, and require virtually no maintenance, especially in high pressure applications. With pinch valve high pressure, a rugged, heavy-duty pinching mechanism is involved in positioning the sleeve, the resultant flow of the media is quite accurate and measurable. Some of the features of high pressure control pinch valves include no seats for wear, no packing for maintenance, no need for expensive body alloys, and no fugitive emissions.
Pinch Valve High Pressure Design
Control pinch valves are available in several heavy-duty sleeve designs. These include standard full port suitable for isolation applications with on/off functionality, cone, reduced port for control applications, and double wall for severe abrasive applications. The elastomer tubing, also known as sleeve, hose, bladder, or membrane, has the capability of closing on solids suspended in fluids. With pinch valve high pressure, since the sleeve works on a flexing action, it eliminates the possibility of scaling as well.
Pinch Valve High Pressure Features & Applications
There are so many other important features in the sealed valve body when pinch valve high pressure is in play. These beneficial features include no packing to maintain, no-hang-up, rugged, simple design, and little to no maintenance. Some valves have a heavy-duty solid steel unit for adjusting stroke for controlling the flow rate of the media. With the stroke adjustment functionality, the abrasion through of the sleeve can also be reduced, which ultimately eliminates the downtime.
The control pinch valves used for pinch valve high pressure are also available with several types of actuators. Electric or hydraulic actuators are used for automatic operations involving dealing with high pressure, while bevel gear actuators are suitable for manual operation. There are pneumatic actuators available in the market as well which are used in low pressure applications.
Some applications where pinch valve high pressure valves are used include:
Medical Tablets
Sand Blasting
Steel Shot Blasting
Paper Pulp
Talc
Waste Material
Pharmaceutical Powder
Sludge
Paint & Pigments
Abrasive & Viscous Slurry
Animal Remains
Powder Coating
