The special feature: the ink dries in seconds even on smooth surfaces. The secret lies in a small device just behind the print head. This device incorporates several UV LED’s which irradiate the freshly printed ink with ultraviolet light. This triggers a chemical reaction in the ink which makes it harden and dry. The light -sources are quicksilver free and don't emit hurtful radiation, don't create ozone and don't give off heat. With the thermal inkjet coders Compactline UV in combination with UV-ink every smooth surface can be printed on the basis of Hewlett Packard cartridge technology.
