“Woke up this mornin’! Saw my pump leaking something brown! I filled out 8 forms of bureaucratic paperwork and the rain came tumblin’ dowwwwwnnn, oh yeahhh......!” The infamous ‘Blue Monday’ hit this week, suggested to be the most depressing day of the year as sang by the Verder resident Blue Maestro ‘Hollerin’ Spanners Hill’, our top pump engineer. The day of reckoning for many people hits with a combination of cold, dark days, penny-pinching from Christmas overspends and realising that the gym membership you signed is for 12 months and not just for January. Here at Verder we have been fielding plenty of calls from plant managers with a blues number of their own: leaking pumps, expensive energy bills, prolonged downtime, messy clean-up operations and they ain’t go no rhythm. However, just as the blues passed on the baton to rock ‘n’ roll, we decided to pay Hollerin’ Hill for once and he wrote a new song... “He’s a maniac! Maaaaaaaniac! I sure know! And he’s never bought a Verder mag drive pump before! He’s a maniac! Maaaaaaaaniac! I sure know! And he’s better get a Verder rep through the door!” Thanks Hollerin’ Hill. So it’s time to get your plant and process some rhythm, so without further ado it’s time to get the official Verder rock ‘n’ roll countdown.... 3) A Verder pump survey – Yes, you too can get your plant in tune with a full site survey with an examination of the demands that your process will need to consider in the short, medium and long-term. The Verder Service Team will audit the existing pumping system(s) and specify any required pumps for where the gap in demand is not being met with a recommendation for spares stock to ensure that downtime is being kept to a minimum. Mmm, catchy! 2) A Verdermag mag drive pump – If you like your records to spin at 78, then step it up to 2900rpm with a Verdermag metallic or non-metallic mag drive pump. Every mag drive pump in the range is free of mechanical seals so there is no wear and is 100% leak-free (widdlin’ guitar solo....). Verdermag mag drive pumps are renowned for providing plant managers with very long MTBF cycles and extended planned inspection and servicing. Combine this with a low spares requirement and a totally contained fluid and you’re going into overdrive. 1) If you’ve had problems with unreliable contractors, inconvenient over-runs and high labour bills, it’s time to leave that mad ‘prog’ concept album alone and give the chart-topping Verder Service Team a call. Housed at the top gig venue, The Verder Service Centre, the Service Team are Pump Maestros that will get any pump in tune. The running order includes planned and contract maintenance to keep the metronome ticking, repair and servicing of virtually any pump and the diagnostic, performance and hydrostatic testing and inspection of your pump to ensure it’s leak-free and providing the performance it is specified to do. As the Frontman in the band, Peter Kenny has several pump engineers each with many years of experience in trouble-shooting and repairing pumps. The Verder Service Centre has state of the art facilities to test frequency, star delta, data capture – Rhodes, Fluidwell and Anders data display, flow measurement, pressure, vibration, power consumption, PAT testing, insulation and volume. All these test parameters mean your pump can be certified as number 1 too! So, if you want to avoid that awkward phone call of a plant breakdown, give Verder UK a call today and we can help your pumping process with a tune of our own. It maybe best not to attend the Verder after-party though...I hear those guys are demons with the Hayne’s Manual drinking games! Call our Service Centre direct on 01924 221 059, email info@remove-this.verder.co.uk or complete a contact form.
