New Marine Pressure Transmitter ECTN 8477 completes Trafag's shipbuilding portfolio

28-09-2018

The reliable and robust Marine Pressure Transmitter ECTN 8477 completes Trafag’s pressure transmitter product range for the shipbuilding industry. It has already been approved for the use on ships by the classification societies of GL-DNV, KRS and RINA. Bubikon, March 2016 - The Marine Pressure Transmitter ECTN 8477 with thick-film-on-ceramic sensor bases on the technology of the ECTfamily which has proven its reliability in thousands of demanding industrial applications. The Marine Pressure Transmitter ECTN 8477 has already been approved for the use on ships by the classification societies of GL-DNV, KRS and RINA and more are yet to come. Pressure measurement ranges from 0 …1 bar up to 0…400 bar, allowable temperature ranges from -25 … 85°C and a design where considerable emphasis has been focused on robustness against vibration and EMC are ideal preconditions for marine applications, where the requirements regarding reliability and safety are extremely high. To ensure a correct and long-term stable measurement even in highly corrosive environments, the Marine Pressure Transmitter ECTN 8477 is available in AISI316L as a standard, but also optionally in the salt water resistant duplex steel 1.4462 and in titanium. The Marine Pressure Transmitter ECTN 8477 completes Trafag’s marine pressure transmitter portfolio. Trafag, established in the shipbuilding industry for 50 years and well-known for its reliable solutions for pressure and temperature measurement and monitoring, offers beside the ECNT 8477 two more marine pressure transmitters, i.e. EPN/ EPNCR 8298 and NAE 8256, which both are based on thin-film-onsteel sensor technology. The EPN/EPNCR 8298 is the first choice when it comes to measure pressure up to 2500 bar and in general where long-term-stability is crucial. The NAE 8256, which features the same extremely stable thin-film-on-steel sensor, is the only marine pressure transmitter in the market in the very small size of HEX19, which makes it the preferred solution there space is extremely limited.
