In 1989 company executive Ray Cull had a lightbulb moment and decided to start up his own business - confident due to his 30 years experience of the adhesive tapes industry. With little knowledge of how to approach the end user market place, distributing at this level was going to be an up hill struggle. Only after building relationships with major UK manufacturers did the business gain momentum and consequently other family members became involved. After several years of grit and determination the company began to be recognised and respected in the adhesive tape industry. The core focus of the business was providing branded products, competitively priced, delivered on time - whilst cementing personal relationships with all their customers. Year on year local people were employed, converting machinery was purchased and the need to move to larger premises happened on three occasions. Twenty years on, a highly respected distributor and converter of adhesive tapes had emerged and to date, Tape Range Distributors Ltd is trading with all four family members appointed as directors with a formidable workforce to compliment them. Now situated in Hyde, Cheshire, conveniently positioned next to the M60 motorway network, Tape Range services the UK and Europe with an enviable range of tape and film products.
