The Vacuum Leak Detector is a simple device which utilizes compressed air to identify leaking tubes in condensers, heat exchangers and other similar equipment. The far end of the tube is sealed with the T Handle tube plug (or snap type plug). The operator then inserts the nozzle of the VLD into the opposite end of the tube. By depressing the trigger a vacuum is created in the tube. If when the trigger is released the pressure gauge reads a constant pressure, then the tube is good, if it shows a falling pressure the tube is faulty. If one man operation is required the opposite end of the tube can be sealed with a Snap Type Tube Plug, available separately for the correct i.d. of your tubes.
