Children In Need
23-11-2015
On Friday 13th November, Pakawaste held a lunch for our employees to raise money for Children In Need, the BBC’s UK charity for disabled children and young people. Employees gathered from our factories and offices in Preston on Friday afternoon for the special, annual occasion. Food and drink was kindly donated by our staff, who also dressed down in ‘non-uniform’ for the day, fashioning a selection of sandwiches, snacks, cakes and drinks. We raised a fantastic £135! Who said Friday 13th had to be a bad day?
Children In Need has raised over £600 million since it first began in 1980. Famously hosted each year by Sir Terry Wogan, the BBC telethon offers a range of entertainment for viewers all across the country, including performances by world-renowned popstars, comedians and other variety acts. This year, Children In Need raised over £37 million by means of donations and fundraising campaigns across the UK.Visit the Pakawaste Ltd website for more information on Children In Need
