The vector SC is a robust slot die coat machine that is capable of handling both rigid and flexible substrates. The system was designed for fast and easy coating of functional materials in laboratories working to develop novel materials and test device structures. Used in a variety of applications such as solar technologies (OPV, perovskites, CIGS), lighting, sensing and energy storage, it is intended for solution processing thin-film coatings of functional materials.

This slot die coater is a suitable next step in production scale from spin coating when rigid substrates are required. The vectorSC is a compact setup easily positionable within a fume hood or glovebox. The specially designed slot-die heads and syringe pump allow the precise control of the wet-film thickness and keep material consumption to a minimum.

Both flexible and rigid substrates up to 300 x 200 mm can be positioned on the sample holder and secured by vacuum suction. The adjustment of the lateral position of the slot die head allows for easy registration of subsequent coated layers. This together with the heated chuck provides a robust, flexible and high accuracy slot die coater enabling the repeatable fabrication of your device architecture.
