The electronics used for push-button stopping of traffic at pedestrian crossings are sealed in plastic housing. The housings are assembled using fast-curing DELO-CA Cyanoacrylate adhesives.

After joining, the assembled unit must be able to withstand all types of weather (country-dependant), impact resistance from forceful handling, and damage from repeated pressing of the button.

Drops of adhesive are manually dispensed at strategic points around the edge of the casing, the two parts are clamped together for less than one minute, and handling strength is realised very quickly.
