Plug Flow Chamber
The Plug Flow Chamber eliminates eddy currents typical in most chamber designs so making it less likely for material to be deposited on the walls. Feed is introduced co-currently from the top of the chamber using nozzle atomisation essential for most products requiring this type of chamber as it is common that they require specific bulk density. To resist the powder adhering to metal surfaces further its often desirable to incorporate surface air sweeps to the walls. Air is drawn across the surfaces of the walls forming a barrier to the powder falling through the chamber.
