A Grand Design for Essex Laser and Facit Homes

Essex Laser’s client Facit Homes have just exhibited at the Grand Designs Exhibition at Excel in London. One of Facit’s prefabricated houses was featured on the programme earlier this year. Facit’s director recently visited Italy and felt inspired to create a modern twist on the marble inlaid floors so popular in Italy especially for the exhibition. He wanted to create a stylish contemporary version for the exhibition stand and commissioned Essex Laser to make the mild steel metal parts inlaid in the flooring on the stand. Laser cut parts were laid into the wooden flooring to give a modern sophisticated take on the traditional Italian inlaid marble floor. The beautiful design was used around the whole floor on Facit’s exhibition stand and emphasises one of the many uses for high quality laser cut metal.
