Cap Inserter
The cap inserter is a simple PLC controlled, rapid operation machine. The cores are fed along an input conveyor from the previous process. Tube guides, pneumatic pushers and tick-tock gates can move the cores through the machine and out again onto a conveyor, then taking cores to the next process. A vibrating bowl feeder orientates and provides plastic caps to a separate conveyor from which the caps are then selected and fed into the guided insertion system. The core is guided and held in place whilst the cap insertion is made. The operator may select one or both ends of the core in order to be capped. The core is then released and placed on an output conveyor in order to move onto the packing station where cores may sent to alternate boxes. A screw thread adjustment with hand wheels is supplied in order to set the insertion depth.Visit the C Perkin Ltd website for more information on Cap Inserter
