01-12-2019

Above ground septic effluent tanks are exactly as you would expect and work as a means to store any waste as a temporary solution as a kind of cesspool. At ASAP Septic Tanks, we supply a range of these tanks and related products. Where are They Used? They may be situated underneath areas such as toilet blocks, kitchens, canteens and so on, as well as at the end of your cabin, caravan or similar holiday site. Their purpose is far-reaching, including use for more natural environments such as fishing lakes and allotments, and for transport such as trains, planes and coaches. These can be emptied and transferred to a relevant water authority avenue. Our larger tanks are in multiples of 6 or 10 and 15000 litres of fully alarmed and bunded units which can also be joined together to make an even larger system. The Rules What is great about this method of temporary above ground sewage holding tank systems is that there are no specific binding rules or any permit required to have one. In order to properly maintain your cesspool, it is necessary to empty it regularly, for example, one a month. You must have it emptied by a registered waste carrier, and need to ensure it does not leak or overflow. Due to these being temporary and classed as portable, no planning permission is required dependent on height restrictions. What are their Properties? Our above ground septic effluent tanks are made from UV-protected polymers and MDPE (Medium-density polyethylene) material, making them strong, hardy and long-lasting. There is a choice of different sizes to make sure it suits your requirement, and it’s also possible to join tanks together, forming one larger tank. Additional features may include fitting a high-level alarm, and an inlet and air vent system, and extra fill points, or entry disposal points. Our fitting service is available for your convenience at your request. These models have the advantage of being space-saving too as they can be stored on end when not in use, and are also easy to clean with a small pressure washer both inside and outside.
