Our History
Airfield Warehousing Ltd., based at Polebrook Airfield, Oundle near Peterborough in the UK has been providing solutions to storage for over 30 years. This small established company offers you a personal and friendly service. Polebrook Airfield is a former World War II air base located 3.5 miles east-south-east of Oundle, at Polebrook, Northamptonshire. The airfield was built on land starting in August 1940. It was from here that the United States Army Air Forces Eighth Air Force carried out its heavy bomb group (B-17) combat missions and it was from here that Major Clark Gable flew. Having been rebuilt in the 1980s Airfield Warehousing has over 110,000sq ft of purpose-built dry, secure warehousing space together with large areas for outside storage.Initially the warehouses were used for predominantly agricultural purposes, providing potato storage for the local crisp and chip producers. Over the years, this has reduced and we now tend to store goods for various commercial companies prior to store distribution. We also have the original 45000sq ft J2 hangar in which we store 20000 tonnes of wheat for a local companyVisit the Airfield Warehousing Ltd website for more information on Our History
